About Joe, the Band and the Music:

Horn driven rock and blues, that’s the essence of the Six Foot Joe and the Red Hot Rhinos sound.

After working the music scene up and down the front-range in Colorado for years, hard blowing sax man Six Foot Joe (the man with the six foot sound) brings his own brand of rock and roll/rhythm and blues to the stage. Influenced by the 1960s sax icons King Curtis and Jr. Walker, as well as horn bands like Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Jack Mack & the Heart Attack, the Blues Brothers and the Powder Blues Band; Joe and the Rhinos put out a wall of sound.

You see, Joe and the Rhinos soup up that old rock & roll beat with a fat horn sound to deliver a fun, energetic show.  Joe's song selections from the past, combined with his crowd-pleasing original material, is what gives the Red Hot Rhinos their unique appeal---even though some say they come for the music but they stay for the jokes. In the end, playing rock and roll fueled by a ripping horn section, that’s the way Six Foot Joe does it.

Six Foot Joe & the Red Hot Rhinos puts on an entertaining and family-friendly show.
